We spent our memorial weekend finishing up the last two days of our Marathon Mini-Portrait Sessions in San Francisco and San Jose. We surpassed Fidel’s fundraising goal of $3000 and raised a total of $4200. Thank you to everyone who came out to support Fidel and the AIDS/LIFECYCLE event. Fidel will begin his ride this weekend and will be riding for the next 7 days til he reaches Los Angeles. We will keep everyone posted with some pics from events. The opening ceremonies will be on Sunday at 6AM at the Cow Palace. Come out if you’re in the area and up at 6AM to cheer on Fidel!
In the meantime here are some sneak peeks of the wonderful people who came out to support us on Saturday in San Francisco at the Golden Gate Park. Thank you to each and every person for putting up with the holiday crowds and parking situation at the Golden Gate Park.

The Maratho Mini-Portrait Session held in San Jose was a success! We had families and couples come out for a fun spring session out on the green hillsides in San Jose, California. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event. We have raised a total of $1500 towards funding Fidel Mendoza’s AIDS/Lifecylce ride. The next Marathon Mini-Portrait sessions will be held in Modesto & Newman at the end of this month. Many of you who have chatted with me in the past few months already know about my husband Fidel’s upcoming participation in the AIDS/Lifecyle Ride to End Aids. Our goal is to raise $3000 to fund his ride this June.
AIDS/LifeCycle is a fully supported, 7-day – 500 mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles from June 5-11, 2011. It’s a life-changing ride—not a race—through some of California’s most beautiful countryside. AIDS/LifeCycle is co-produced by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and is designed to advance their shared interest to end the pandemic and human suffering caused by AIDS. I will be following along on June 5-11, 2011 to support Fidel along with hundreds of other riders on this journey. But I wanted to do a bit more to help raise awareness to this cause as well as find a way to donate some of myself to this cause.
The Mini-Portraits sessions will be held in San Jose, Modesto, Newman, and San Francisco. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to sponsor Fidel’s journey. Use this Mini-Portrait Session for Family Portraits, Baby/Children Portraits, Couples, Seniors, Pets, or Just because to help a cause – everyone is welcome.
